Wisdom keys from Daniel

Updated: Jul 18, 2023

He was known as a survivor of the lion's den. A seer of visions and dreams, God showed him pictures of things that were to come thousands of years ahead of time. He was prisoner of the king, but chosen to be trained in their language and customs to perpetuate the kingdom. His name was Daniel.

Wisdom Keys of Daniel

Wisdom Key # 1

He was never intimidated by his enemies. (Daniel 6:10)

  • He refused to be intimidated.

  • When he heard the decree of King Darius that anyone who worshiped or prayed to another god would be thrown in the lion's den.

  • He knew who he was. He was not intimidated.

Wisdom Key # 2

He had a prayer Habit. He prayed three times a day. (Daniel 9:3-4)

  • Great men have great habits. Daniel as was his custom, prayed three times a day.

  • To pray, shows regard and respect for God, he reached for God, he linked with God, and he talked with God.

  • He got into the presence of God.

Wisdom Key # 3

He interrogated and asked for additional information. (Daniel 2:15)

  • You can't make great decisions until you have enough information.

  • Pursue information, always ask questions. Jesus did. Daniel did.

  • He asked why the king was making such a decree.

  • Always go to the right source.

Wisdom Key # 4

He knew the power of fasting. (Daniel 10:3)

  • Fasting is simply doing without something to heighten your spiritual awareness of God.

  • The purpose of fasting is to separate yourself unto the Lord, and focus on the spiritual instead of your physical needs.

  • When you fast you lose all fear of man, failure, and the things of this world cease to matter. Their importance plummets and you become very heightened and focused.

  • Daniel knew the secret of fasting and prayer. He knew that he would hear from God and his circumstances would change.
