Start Where you are

Navigators

Navigate or to navigate has become a more commonly used word in our culture today - navigating through seasons, storms, stresses, and successes.

We know the definition of the word is, but simply said it means 'to set a course'. More and more we are hearing people ask for help to navigate through situations flying at them at a sometimes impossible speed.

The first session in Navigators begins with the word Start and maybe you are asking the question, "Where do I start?" 2 Peter 1:4

Start where you are!

The decisions you make today determine the story you will tell tomorrow.

"Life can only be understood backwards, unfortunately,

it can only be lived forward.”

How do we continue moving in the right direction?

It's the things no one sees that bring to us the things everyone wants.

  • Time

  • Discipline

  • Hard Work

  • God's Goodness and Guidance

Genesis 24 - Choosing a wife for Isaac

It was in the daily routine of Rebekah that put her in a position to be not only blessed but launched her into her destiny. (Never despise small beginnings Zechariah 4:10)

How do I start something that will help me face my future?

  • Make sure you are headed in the right direction.

Divine guidance equals effort and God's direction!

Preparation gives us choices a lack of it will not. Proverbs 16:9, Proverbs 16:3, Colossians 3:17

Do we recognize the voice of the Holy Spirit? We recognize the voice of our loved ones above the crowd, but are we in relationship with God enough to recognize his voice or promptings?

John 14:26, John 16:13, Romans 8:14-16

What (new) discipline do I need to practice to help put this in place?

3 Suggestions

  1. Watch & Pray

  2. The celebration of discipline

  3. The heart to hear God and obey
