If you're not willing to change, don't expect your life to either!
1. Reveal your pain, especially when shame keeps you hiding.
Shame based living is really toxic!
Shame - humiliation so painful so overwhelmingly embarrassing & so deeply degrading that the person feels he or she is sinking into the ground.
It is the SELF that condemns self. This is what condemnation is, but God gives us the gift of no condemnation. Romans 8:1
Reading Suggestions:
“Healing the Shame that Binds You” By John Bradshaw
“Shame based families” By John Bradshaw
You can not heal what you are not willing to reveal!
2. Let’s read 1 Chronicles 4:9-10
The Prayer of Jabez
His name suggests pain and sorrow.
Can you imagine growing up with a name everyone knew was connected to pain?
Nevertheless, he was called honorable by God.
Honorable in this text refers to glory!
I believe the glory of God was upon the pain and sorrow of Jabez.
This helps us make life changes.
Jabez prayed for God to do 5 things
Bless him
Enlarge his territory
Keep his hand upon him
Keep Him from evil
Keep Him from causing others pain
There is a song I used to sing by the title
“Through the Breaking & the Crushing I Discovered His Love.”
“There is a Blessing in the Breaking”
As you move forward, release all that has held you down & Influenced you so that you couldn’t be free.
Love this... Thank you! Much much needed.
